Full Job Description Job Description:
We are looking for a Quality Inspector to join our Quality team. As a Quality Inspector, you'll be part of a cross-functional team whose mission is to lead a Quantum Computing company on its journey to build the world's best quantum computers to solve the world's most complex problems. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all incoming, in-process and/or finished components meet rigorous mechanical, electrical, and PCBA specifications. The ideal candidate is someone who balances rigorous technical expertise with the professional integrity required to uphold quality standards under production pressure.
Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive daily inspections on incoming parts, assessing conformance to relevant specifications and purchase documentation. Inspect documentation & components mechanical, electrical, and PCBA raw materials against approved engineering specifications and drawings. Apply statistical sampling techniques to determine appropriate sample sizes and acceptance levels. Utilize appropriate metrology gauges and instruments for various inspection tasks. Review technical drawings callouts or datum structures according to ASME Y14.5 and translate them to inspection requirements. Support periodic equipment calibration to ensure all measurement tools remain within tolerance and maintain tooling and work space according to local 5S procedures. Ensure consistent compliance with
ISO 9001/AS9100
standards and industry best practices. Support internal and external audits for inspection processes. Accurately document non-conformities and contribute to root cause failure investigations. Manage non-conforming material in conjunction with the MRB board encompassing material segregation and associated ERP transactions.
Requirements:
High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 2-4 years of related experience in a regulated manufacturing environment. Proven experience in PCBA inspection to
IPC-A-610
requirements. Experience with aerospace inspection processes and standards. Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings, including a thorough understanding of datum structures per
ASME Y14.5.
Proficiency with layout tools (surface plates, height gages, indicators, calipers, micrometers, gage blocks, thread gages, etc.). Experience in standard office software for data analysis, document creation, and scheduling (including spreadsheets, word processing, and email) along with experience utilizing Quality Management Systems (QMS). Experience and comfortable operating in ERP platforms, bonus if prior experience in Oracle Netsuite Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods during inspection cycles. Strict adherence to all company safety requirements and PPE protocols.
Preferred Qualifications:
Communicates effectively across all organizational levels—including management, engineering, and physicists—to resolve complex quality issues. A mindset with a proven track record of precision. Experience operating automated measuring instruments/tools (e.g., CMM, OMM, or Vision Systems). Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. A self-starter who is willing to learn, grow, and support other QA functions as required.
Pay:
$28.00 - $33.00 per hour
