Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. This position involves working closely with various departments and customers to achieve the highest quality parts. Responsibilities Read and interrupt drawings, specifications, GD&T. Comfortable using imperial and metric measurements. Ability to use a variety of inspection instruments/equipment (such as: micrometer, caliper, height gauges, protractors, optical comparator, CMM, FARO arm, laser scanner, etc.). First Piece Inspection, Final Inspection, Incoming Inspection of raw or finished parts to established quality plans. May require inspection development. PPAP experience (PSW, ISIR, PFMEA, Control Plan, etc.). Continuous improvements, process development, APQP, value-added, kaizen, Lean. Handling/processing/disposition of nonconforming product and applying root cause/corrective action. Product Development. Training/coaching production employees on proper measuring of parts. Work professionally with various levels of team members and customers. Works under minimal supervision, exercises some degree of discretion and independent judgement. Works under pressure of deadlines. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement in quality assurance processes. Document and analyze quality data to identify trends and recommend corrective actions as needed. Provide training and support to staff on quality systems and best practices. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred. Proven experience in quality management, assurance, or control within a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of GD&T & Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data Effective project management skills with the ability to lead initiatives from conception through execution in product development. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams. Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
