Operate machinery following traveler specifications. Perform first piece inspections, and complete ISIRs (initial sample inspection report) as needed. Adhere to all safety protocols and wear protective gear while on the shop floor. Maintain accurate records of materials, pieces and productivity followed during production. Maintain a clean and safe workplace in accordance with company policies. Ability to follow and understand company policies and core values. Issuing NCRs (non-conformance reports) when parts are found to be non-conforming. Perform gage verifications and calibrations. Marking and identifying parts as non-conforming. Perform and coordinate internal, external, supplier, product and workstation audits Process RMAs (Return Material Authorizations) Assist in CAR program and corrective actions Monitor and update NCRs (Nonconformance reports) Drive Process controls programs (SPC) Assist and troubleshoot floor quality issues Creation of material reports and C of Cs (Certificates of Conformance) Assist with the creation of standard work and work instructions Assist with measuring and reporting on QMS performance (Quality Management System) Assist with the control of documents Create and maintain measurement plans Manage customer portals (submitting PPAPs, print revisions, CofC submission, etc.) Create and manage PPAPs (production part approval process) Visit suppliers as needed Support supplier CARs and root cause analysis Perform other duties as assigned. Experience and Skill Required Ability to read, comprehend and follow basic written or oral instructions. Knowledge of how to read a traveler. Knowledge of how to use a manual micrometer, calipers, and hand tools (ring gages, feeler gauges, etc.) Ability to pass a basic math test with the ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide and use decimal points to ten-thousandths. Ability to perform more advanced algebra and math (capability studies, SPC, gage compensation). Able to effectively communicate and work in a team environment. Experience with Microsoft Suite required. Intermediate/Advanced use of Microsoft excel Experience with an ERP system preferred. Communicate across different levels within the organization ranging from shop to office employees. Relevant College diploma or 5+ years work experience preferred. Quality or Lean certificate(s) preferred Physical Requirements A 40+ hour work week, 8-hour shifts (Monday through Friday). Overtime may be required as needed to meet production demands, including working Fridays and/or Saturdays. Prolonged periods of standing, sitting, walking, bending, and lifting. Good manual hand dexterity. Must be able to regularly lift up to 40 pounds at a time, including anything over 40 pounds with assistance (team lift). Ability to perceive differences in brightness and distinguish variations in light intensity.
