Quality Control Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine visual inspections, dimensional checks, and functional testing on raw materials, in-process sub-assemblies, and finished respiratory/lighting products using approved engineering methods
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, pin gages, thread gages, and specialized testing equipment to evaluate components against technical drawings and blueprints
  • Use observation, testing data, and statistical sampling methods to identify faults, non-conformances, or deviations in materials and manufacturing processes before batches are released
  • Develop, maintain, and update quality logs, inspection charts, and non-conformance reports (NCRs)
  • Enter data into spreadsheets and the company's quality database to ensure robust traceability
  • Compare test results against established engineering standards and report variances to production supervisors and engineering
  • Consult with management to recommend remedies for questionable materials or product holds
  • Assist in maintaining compliance for calibrated tools and fixtures used across the production floor Requirements for
Quality Control:
  • High school diploma or GED; Technical certification or coursework with a focus on manufacturing mathematics, blueprint reading, or precision machining preferred
  • At least 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing quality control environment
  • Experience in a highly regulated industry (e.g., medical devices, PPE, aerospace, or defense) is a major plus
  • Proven ability to read, interpret, and comprehend complex mechanical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions
  • Hands-on proficiency with standard measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gages)
  • Solid computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) for report generation
  • Extreme attention to detail, strong verbal and written communication skills, and the capability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced production environment
