Full Job Description Position Location:

Full-Time, Direct Hire Compensation:
$20.00•$25.00 hourly, with potential for higher rates depending on your background.
Available Shifts:
Monday through Thursday, 5:00 AM•3:00 PM Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM•4:30 PM Core Duties Execute standard quality assessments and testing on both active and completed food items. Assess physical attributes such as texture, flavor, size, appearance, and color. Perform sensory evaluations, which include tasting items that might contain allergens. Ensure metal detection systems function correctly and notify management of any mechanical failures. Gather environmental, microbiological, control, and retention samples. Prepare samples for lab analysis and manage all related paperwork. Validate that product labeling is correct before manufacturing begins. Manage product holds and support investigations to improve quality outcomes. Maintain precise and thorough daily quality logs and reports. Help the team identify quality trends by analyzing data to prevent future issues. Collaborate with production staff to solve manufacturing problems that affect product standards. Contribute to team-wide quality projects and continuous improvement efforts. Help maintain a safe working environment by upholding GMPs, SQF standards, and sanitation protocols. Promptly communicate any food safety or quality lapses to the appropriate leadership. Handle other responsibilities as requested. Candidate Background Preferred Experience Two years of collegiate study paired with one to two years of QC experience. Alternative Experience High School Diploma or GED combined with three to five years of experience in food production or quality roles. Key Competencies Background in Quality Assurance and Control processes. Experience working within food manufacturing or production environments. Understanding of food safety regulations and GMP standards. High level of precision and attention to detail. Proven ability to conduct testing and inspections. Strong analytical skills to solve problems and interpret data. Capability to translate technical specifications and regulations into practice. Effective written and verbal communication abilities. Competence in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Strong organizational and time management habits. Ability to work effectively both solo and within a group.
