Job Description

Position Summary:
Griffin Industries is seeking a 1st Shift Quality Technician to join our team. This position works closely with CNC Machinists and manufacturing personnel to inspect parts and ensure they meet customer specifications and Griffin's high standards of quality. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while managing multiple priorities.
Qualifications:
Experience using Calypso software Experience measuring parts using a Zeiss CMM Strong blueprint reading skills, including interpretation of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) Experience using precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, and thread gauges Proficiency with Microsoft Office Familiarity with
ISO 9001
quality processes and procedures Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Experience programming a Zeiss CMM Experience with
Adobe Illustrator Responsibilities:
Utilize Zeiss CMM equipment to perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections on machined parts Interpret CMM results and communicate findings clearly and promptly to the manufacturing team Create, maintain, and organize accurate inspection reports using computer software Perform in-process inspections using measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, and thread gauges Ensure compliance with all company safety, quality, and ISO system standards Support continuous improvement efforts related to quality and manufacturing processes Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Physical Requirements:
Regularly use hands to handle, feel, and operate tools, equipment, and controls Push, pull, and safely lift equipment or parts weighing up to 50 pounds from floor to table height Ability to stand and move throughout the workday in a manufacturing environment About us Griffin Industries provides full service solutions to the prototype and low lot machined casting requirements of our industry.
