Job Description

Summary IME is looking for a self-motivated individual to work, under the supervision of senior engineers, on a wide array of projects. Responsibilities include assisting in civil engineering design, field inspections on construction projects, assisting field survey crews, and field and laboratory testing of construction materials such as soils, aggregates, concrete and asphalt. Projects to be tested include earthwork, concrete placement, asphalt paving, and masonry construction. Typically, projects are located in Wyoming; however, some travel throughout the Rocky Mountain Region is likely. Travel is dictated by our clients and projects. No sponsorship is available for this position. Responsibilities Typical duties will depend on the applicant's technical and professional experience may include: Ability to foster and maintain positive and effective professional relationships with clients, and colleagues. Must be able to follow instructions, and work independently, or as part of a project team. Complete assigned tasks in a timely, logical manner and exercise discretion and good judgment in accomplishing assigned tasks and goals. Must have strong communication, interpersonal, and intellectual skills. Ability to organize, prioritize, and follow multiple projects and tasks to completion. Become proficient with computer programs associated with Microsoft Office Suite operating systems (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc). Ability to become proficient in the use of laboratory and field-testing equipment and procedures. Salary Grade

01 (Tech I) Travel up to 50% Requirements High School diploma or G.E.D Any relevant experience with field and/or laboratory construction materials testing experience is desirable. Proficiency in applicable software tools, including MS Office Suite. Strong organizational and written communication skills. Must have a valid driver's license and clean record. Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, and drug/alcohol test Benefits No benefits available. The noise level in the office work environment is usually moderate. The noise level on field sites is often loud; the use of hearing protection may be required for extended periods.
