Job Description

Our client, a high-growth third-party logistics company, is currently seeking an Industrial Sewing Machine Operator in Phoenix, AZ . This role is ideal for someone with hands-on industrial sewing experience who can work with accuracy, speed, and attention to detail. The position involves operating sewing machines to close pillows, cushions, and bedding products while maintaining quality standards.
The Day-to-Day:
Operate industrial single-needle lockstitch, overlock, or serging machines safely and efficiently. Sew straight, clean, and durable closure lines on filled pillows, decorative cushions, or bedding products. Stitch law tags, branding tags, and care labels securely into the final seam. Inspect completed pillows for loose threads, skipped stitches, uneven seams, or fiber leaks before sending them to packaging. Rethread machines, replace broken needles, and complete basic machine cleaning or oiling as needed. Guide bulky filled items carefully under the sewing foot to prevent bunching, puckering, or crooked seams.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Minimum 1 year of experience operating industrial sewing machines required. Experience in apparel, bedding, upholstery, or textile manufacturing preferred. Strong hand-eye coordination and the ability to handle bulky filled products. Ability to sew clean, even seams with consistent accuracy.
Pay Rate:
$15.50 per hour

Monday to
Friday Shift Options:
