In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating sewing machines to sew in labels, make repairs, and reconstruct . Your expertise in garment construction and sewing techniques will directly contribute to our commitment to excellence and efficiency. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a collaborative team dedicated to delivering top-tier products. In addition to sewing, you will also be doing product preparation, such as depilling garments, repairing using machine and hand, and removing stains from garments using a number of different techniques. We work with both secondhand garments as well as new, so the ability to change methods based on garment type is vital to this role. Your parking cost will be paid for in this role. Responsibilities Operate various sewing machines with precision to assemble garments according to specifications and quality standards Follow detailed sewing instructions, patterns, and production schedules to ensure timely completion of orders Inspect finished products for defects, inconsistencies, or errors, making adjustments as needed Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times Assist with material handling, including loading fabric rolls and moving completed items within the warehouse or production floor Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and improve workflow efficiency Document production data accurately and report any machine malfunctions or quality issues promptly Repair garments by hand, or by using machine vintage garments. Measure and de-pill vintage garments Remove stains from vintage garments using a number of techniques. Qualifications Prior experience in garment construction or sewing is highly preferred Proficiency with sewing machines and understanding of sewing techniques Knowledge of manufacturing processes related to textile or apparel production Warehouse experience is a plus, including material handling and inventory management Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and perform repetitive tasks safely Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment Embark on a rewarding career where your sewing skills help create exceptional products!
