Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Industrial Sewing Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will operate industrial sewing machines to produce high-quality textile products according to company standards and specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of sewing techniques, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities:
Operate industrial sewing machines (e.g., walking foot, serger, flatbed, overlock) to sew fabric and other materials. Follow production patterns, instructions, and blueprints to assemble products such as garments, upholstery, safety gear, or industrial covers. Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards. Measure and cut fabric/materials as needed. Perform minor machine maintenance (threading, needle replacement, oiling). Meet daily/weekly production targets and maintain a clean and organized workstation. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve production issues.
Requirements:
Proven experience operating industrial sewing machines in a manufacturing or textile production environment. Familiarity with different types of fabrics and stitching techniques. Strong attention to detail and quality control. Ability to read and interpret work orders, patterns, and technical drawings. Physical ability to sit for extended periods and handle repetitive tasks. Basic math and measuring skills. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
