Full Job Description Job Summary:
The Embroidery Operator is responsible for producing high-quality embroidered uniforms by following company production workflows, meeting daily quotas, and ensuring accuracy on all customer orders. This role plays a critical part in maintaining turnaround times, quality standards, and order organization from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Review daily production schedule and prioritize jobs based on due dates and urgency
  • Verify work orders for correct logos, placement, thread colors, garment types, and quantities
  • Set up embroidery machines including loading designs, selecting threads, hooping garments, and preparing backing
  • Run embroidery machines efficiently while monitoring stitch quality and preventing errors
  • Perform thread changes, needle changes, and basic machine adjustments during production
  • Conduct quality control checks on all items before removing from machine
  • Trim threads, clean garments, and ensure finished products meet company standards
  • Keep orders organized and separated by customer, ensuring no mixing of jobs
  • Bundle or bag completed items per company procedure
  • Communicate any order discrepancies or issues immediately to management
  • Assist with locating incoming inventory and matching it to open embroidery orders
  • Maintain accurate counts of completed items for tracking and reporting
  • Keep embroidery stations clean, stocked, and organized
Daily Workflow Expectations:
Start of Shift (7:00 AM):
  • Review available production and incoming orders
  • Check for overnight deliveries
  • Begin priority and rush orders first
During Shift:
  • Maintain steady production output
  • Check for tracking updates or newly available items
  • Ensure all garments are embroidered correctly
End of Shift:
  • Complete or stage in-progress orders
  • Clean machines and work area
  • Prepare next day's jobs if applicable
Qualifications:
  • Previous embroidery machine experience preferred
  • Experience in uniform or production environments preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills
  • Ability to follow structured workflow processes
Skills & Competencies:
  • High accuracy in logo placement and stitching
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot minor machine issues
  • Team-oriented with clear communication
  • Time management and ability to meet daily goals
Work Environment:
  • Warehouse/production floor setting
  • Fast-paced with daily quotas
  • Use of embroidery machines and related equipment
Physical Requirements:
  • Standing for extended periods
  • Repetitive hand movements
  • Lifting boxes up to 40 lbs
