Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Sewing Machine Operator to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating industrial sewing machines to assemble, alter, or repair custom uniforms, patches, and team apparel with precision and consistency.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate industrial sewing machines (e.g., single needle, serger, coverstitch) to produce high-quality garments and patches. Sew custom nameplates, twill lettering, and logo patches onto hockey jerseys and other teamwear. Read and follow design specifications and work orders accurately. Inspect materials and finished products for quality and accuracy. Maintain sewing equipment and perform basic troubleshooting as needed. Collaborate with other production staff to meet deadlines and ensure order accuracy.
Requirements:
Previous experience operating sewing machines in a production setting (garment or embroidery industry preferred). Ability to work with precision and attention to detail. Familiarity with different fabric types and stitching techniques. Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team. Strong work ethic and reliability.
Preferred:
Experience in sportswear or lettering application is a plus.
