Do you enjoy helping others learn, grow, and become more confident in their creative abilities? Mr. Sewing Machine is seeking a Sewing Machine & Embroidery Sales Specialist to join our Team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, learning new technology, and helping customers find the sewing, embroidery, serger, or quilting machine that best fits their needs. We are not looking for a high-pressure salesperson. We are looking for a trusted advisor who can build relationships, educate customers, and create an exceptional ownership experience from the first conversation through years of machine ownership. Mr. Sewing Machine has proudly served the sewing community for over 40 years. We specialize in Baby Lock sewing, embroidery, serger, and longarm machines, along with education, service, and support. Our customers visit us because they value expertise, guidance, and a welcoming environment where they can continue learning and growing in their craft.
What You'll Do:
Sales & Customer Experience Guide customers through the process of selecting the right machine based on their sewing goals and experience level. Demonstrate machine features in a clear, engaging, and easy-to-understand manner. Build long-term relationships with customers before, during, and after their purchase. Manage the customer experience from initial inquiry through machine delivery and follow-up. Complete sales paperwork accurately and thoroughly. Maintain regular communication with prospective and existing customers. Meet sales goals while maintaining a consultative, customer-focused approach. Product Knowledge & Education Learn the complete Baby Lock product line, including sewing, embroidery, serger, and longarm machines. Complete Baby Lock training and certification programs. Stay current on new products, promotions, accessories, software, and techniques. Assist with machine owner classes, demonstrations, and special events. Confidently explain machine features, accessories, software, and educational resources available to customers. Provide basic machine operation guidance and troubleshooting assistance. Store Operations Maintain an organized, professional, and inspiring showroom. Create and display project samples that showcase machine capabilities. Support store events, promotions, and community outreach activities. Assist with customer follow-up communications and promotional campaigns. Work collaboratively with sales, service, and education team members. The Ideal Candidate You may be a great fit if you: Have a genuine passion for sewing and creativity. Job Requirements Previous sales, customer service, education, or training experience required. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Basic computer proficiency. Ability to learn technical product information. Ability to lift and carry sewing machines up to 30 pounds. Availability to work Saturdays and occasional off-site events.
