General Helper/Laborer

The General Helper is responsible for operating a manual (non-programmed) industrial sewing machine to assemble nylon components according to specifications. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to follow measurements accurately.

Pay Rate :

$14.00 hourly

Schedule :

Monday - Friday from 7:30am - 4:00pm

Near Frost Bank Center Key Responsibilities:

Operate a manual industrial sewing machine to sew nylon materials Follow work instructions, patterns, and production guidelines Measure and cut materials using rulers and measuring tools Assist team members in various departments, including production, fabrication, assembly, inspection, shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations. Inspect finished products for defects or inaccuracies Participate in cross-training opportunities to learn departmental processes and support workforce flexibility. Handle, move, organize, and stage materials, wire rope, slings, hardware, and related products. Operate hand tools, power tools, and material-handling equipment after proper training. Work collaboratively with employees across departments to meet production schedules and customer requirements. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements :

Ability to perform basic math, including fractions and measurements Must be able to pass background and drug screen Proficient in reading and using a ruler accurately Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity Previous sewing or manufacturing experience preferred but not required Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
