Full Job Description Overview:

We are looking for a reliable, hands-on Technician to support our daily furnace operations.

This is an execution-focused role:

you will follow specific instructions to run machines and handle samples. No advanced research or design experience is required. This is a weekend-only position working Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM. This is a part-time role and does not include benefits, health insurance, or 401(k).

Duties:

Loading/Unloading:

Carefully place substrates into CVD furnaces and remove them after runs.

Recipe Execution:

Start/stop equipment and adjust gas flow/temperature based on a provided checklist.

Basic Inspection:

Use an optical microscope to take photos of samples and save them to a shared folder.

Data Logging:

Record simple numbers (pressure, time, temperature) in a daily log.

Maintenance:

Clean the furnace tubes and keep the work area tidy.

Requirements:

High school diploma or Associate degree. Proven experience in a hands-on environment (e.g., machine shop, assembly line, or lab operation).

Extreme attention to detail:

Ability to follow a 10-step checklist without skipping a step. Comfortable with repetitive tasks and working around high-temperature equipment. Basic computer skills (email, saving files, Excel).

Pay:

$26.00 - $35.00 per hour
