Job Description

SUMMARY:
Monitors and operates the PVC production process, including raw material charging, polymerization, blowdown, stripping, drying, and bulk loading of resin; monomer recovery and storage of
VCM PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operates equipment for the Manufacture, stripping, separation, drying, and loading of PVC resin within guidelines of the (JWI) Standard Operating Procedures. Operates support equipment for the PVC process; including cooling tower, chilled and hot water, demineralizing and reverse osmotic process water, and steam generation. Completes appropriate paperwork and inspections for shipment of bulk PVC cars and unloading of VCM monomer to storage. Maintains housekeeping in the PVC plant and cleans up after job tasks using proper disposal procedures. Completes other routine or non-routine duties as necessary to meet Production Dept. goals in a safe, environmentally sound, and cost-effective manner. Issues General Work Permits and prepares equipment for maintenance and contractor personnel.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 2
year college degree. 3-5 years of industrial experience preferred. Westlake is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
