What's In It For You $5,000 sign-on bonus Full benefits package from day one Rotating 12-hour day shifts (4:00 am - 4:30 pm), every other weekend off Predictable schedule: Week 1: Sun, Wed, Thu; Week 2: Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat What You'll Do As a Boiler Operator, you'll: Operate, monitor, and maintain high-pressure boilers (500+ HP) Adjust and control steam pressure, combustion efficiency, feedwater levels, and system temperatures Respond quickly to alarms or abnormal conditions and conduct routine equipment rounds Perform preventive maintenance on boilers, pumps, valves, burners, and auxiliary equipment Troubleshoot and resolve issues with controls, combustion systems, feedwater equipment, and steam distribution Coordinate with maintenance technicians and contractors for repairs Follow all safety policies, including PPE use and lockout/tagout procedures Maintain compliance with Minnesota boiler licensing regulations and facility procedures Complete required logs, inspections, and documentation Conduct and record boiler water chemistry tests; adjust chemical feed systems for proper treatment, scale prevention, and corrosion control Maintain detailed operational logs of steam production, fuel usage, alarms, and maintenance work Document irregularities, system adjustments, and corrective actions What You'll Need To SucceedQualifications and skills
Required:
Valid Minnesota Class 1C Boiler Engineer License or higher Demonstrated experience operating high-pressure boilers (preferably >500 HP) Strong understanding of steam systems, combustion principles, and related mechanical equipment Ability to read and interpret gauges, schematics, and technical manuals Proficiency with computerized monitoring/logging systems Preferred:
Experience in industrial or large commercial boiler operations Familiarity with automated boiler controls and PLC systems Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Ability to work in high heat environments, confined spaces, and elevated platforms Ability to respond quickly during equipment alarms or operational emergencies Kerry is an equal opportunity employer.
