This position is being filled using Direct-Hire Authority (5 CFR 337.201) for this occupion. Duties Help Duties include but are not limited to: Operes, regules, maintains, and repairs the Boiler Plant Unit of the Utility Systems Operion Section of Facilities Management Service. Safely and efficiently opere high pressure automic gas and oil fired boilers and all associed auxiliary equipment, instruments, electronic/pneumic controls and measuring devices in a steam genering plant. Operes the Chiller Plant and all utility systems and equipment associed with the steam and chilled wer distribution systems. Monitors and controls Medical Center Heing, Ventilion and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems. Monitor other medical center equipment through hardwired devices to the Boiler Plant, i.e., generors, intrusion alarms, space temperures, etc. Maintain utility systems and reled equipment in the boiler plant, i.e., valves, pumps, motors, and exhaust fans.

Physical Requirements :

Selectee will work from ladders plforms, and in hard to reach locions. Work on close, cramped positions inside boilers. Requires standing, walking, bending, stooping, crawling, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting. Occasionally required to lift and move heavy objects of varying weights, sizes, and shapes.
