Where You'll Work At CHI Health Creighton University Medical Center - Bergan Mercy, our focus is patient-centered care. Our level I trauma center and academic medical center campus is designed to heal the body, mind, and spirit of every person in a more comfortable, less stressful hospital environment. Our full range of medical services includes trauma services, heart and vascular care, emergency services, surgery, maternity, cancer care, and diagnostic imaging. Job Summary and Responsibilities As an Operating Engineer, you will independently perform journeyman-level duties, responsible for daily operational issues concerning the energy plant, hospital, and associated equipment/systems.

Every day, you will design, construct, install, or maintain building systems and equipment, ensuring safety, functionality, efficiency, and occupant comfort. You will also monitor equipment/system problems and recommend solutions for optimal facility performance.

Success in this role requires extensive technical expertise, a strong commitment to safety and efficiency, excellent problem-solving, and autonomous work with high operational standards. Operates high-pressure boilers. Operates chillers and absorbers. Compiles water treatment reports. Performs maintenance on boilers, chillers, pumps, steam pipes, and related machinery. Operates automated building control computer and makes corrections as required. Operates/adjusts air handling equipment. •Night Shift Incentive•Job Requirements Required Two years' experience with boiler operation. and Other Steam plant third grade engineers course (NAPE)
