Must Haves:
Experience translating process specs into equipment requirements and partnering with external vendors. Proven design + commissioning of industrial furnace equipment; ideally carbothermal reduction and sintering. Knowledge of manufacturing scale-up and facility installation/integration. JD Furnace Engineer:
The TRISO Furnace Engineer will evaluate current manufacturing processes and identify opportunities to improve scale, quality, and throughput by assessing furnace architectures and features. This role partners with external vendors to translate process specifications into detailed equipment requirements and leads the design of advanced carbothermal reduction and sintering furnaces to enhance scalability and efficiency. The engineer will collaborate with facility teams to ensure proper integration, support installation, and commission equipment. The ideal candidate has direct experience working with equipment vendors, proven success designing and commissioning industrial furnace systems (preferably in carbothermal reduction and sintering), and a strong understanding of manufacturing scale-up and facility integration. Familiarity with nuclear or high-precision environments is preferred, along with a bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent experience), at least eight years of relevant experience, and strong organizational and communication skills.
Pay:
$55-63/hr
