Pay Rate:

$50 per hour

Shifts:

HOURS OF SCHEDULING

Emergency Shifts could range from 0800-1600, 1600-2400, or 2400-0800. These shifts are required to be available within 24 hours of emergent call received for emergency services and do not count towards regular 40-hour shifts. Training schedule

• Will not reflect actual schedule, contracted employees will be required to work. Daily for at least the first 90 days if contracted employee is already a fully qualified BPO. If training is insufficient termination may occur. Sunday OFF Monday 0800-1600 Tuesday 0800-1600 Wednesday 0800-1600 Thursday 0800-1600 Friday 0800-1600 Saturday OFF Regular Schedule
• Once training is completed. 1600-2400, 2400-0800 a. Schedule 1
• Or as mission requires with a 72 hour notification. Sunday 2400-0800 Monday 1600-2400 Tuesday 1600-2400 Wednesday OFF Thursday OFF Friday 2400-0800 Saturday 2400-0800 Schedule 2
• Or as mission requires with a 72 hour notification. Sunday OFF Monday 2400-0800 Tuesday 2400-0800 Wednesday 2400-0800 Thursday 2400-0800 Friday 2400-0800 Saturday OFF Schedule 3

Description:

Required Knowledge /

Equipment Experience:

Cleaver Brooks high-pressure boilers (maintenance, repair, safety testing, pressure monitoring) Deaerator tank systems Hot well tanks and pumps Daily pressure logging and alarm monitoring Temperature monitoring and system maintenance

Experience Requirement:

Minimum 5 years of experience operating, installing, servicing, and maintaining high-pressure steam boilers up to 2,500 Client. Experience with high-pressure systems in hospital or commercial settings preferred.3 Cleaver Brook high pressure Boilers

• Maintenance and repair required, safety device testing required, log pressures daily, and watch/maintain pressure alarms and gages. Not limited to these requirements. Deaerator (DA) tank
• Prevents corrosion by having chemicals in water to treat. Employees are required to maintain their systems. Hot Well Tanks/Pumps
• Which will require regular maintenance.

Required Certifications:

OSHA 10 Confined Space Entry VHA Safe Steaming Course 360 Training

• Boiler Operator Certification Auto Flame Factory Training Aerco Factory Training Direct Logic Factory Training C-More Factory Training Safety Testing / BEI Video training (may be completed onsite prior to independent work) Security Requirement Must be eligible for VA Tier 1 background investigation and PIV badge. Availability Requirements (Both Positions):
• 24/7 shift coverage Federal holiday work if scheduled Emergency response within 24 hours Ability to complete required VA training (45-90 days depending on role) Roles and responsibilities: Boiler Operators must be certified under the following courses and training, pertaining to the equipment at the Nashville Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

These tasks are to be performed daily, some during each shift depending on necessity. Some tasks shall be performed when required. 1. Start-up and shut down of boiler(s), 2. Operation of plant equipment and controls, 3. Collecting, recording, and documenting of plant operations, 4. Routine equipment maintenance, 5. Preparation of equipment for inspections, 6. Operation and testing of all safety devices and control equipment, 7. Operation of emergency generators, 8. Facility monitoring, 9. Perform monthly (PM's) preventative Maintenance 10. Other tasks as required by VA for utility systems operators.
