Job Description
Position Overview:
The CNC Technician sets up and operates CNC machinery to produce precision parts and instruments. They interpret technical drawings, program machine tools, and ensure quality standards are met throughout the production process.Position Responsibilities & Essential Functions:
Machine Setup & Operation:
Prepare CNC machines for operation by installing tools, fixtures, and materials.Programming:
Write or modify CNC programs using G-code or CAM software based on engineering drawings and specifications.Quality Control:
Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers) to ensure they meet specifications.Maintenance:
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot issues with CNC equipment.Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of production runs, machine settings, and maintenance activities.Collaboration:
Work closely with engineers, production managers, and quality assurance teams to optimize manufacturing processes. Maintain a clean and safe work area/warehouse. Wear required PPE. Perform duties in a safe manner and observe safety procedures. Ensure full adherence to 6S (Safety, Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) practices. Other duties as assigned.Education, Knowledge, Skills and Expertise:
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced production environment while consistently meeting required: productivity, safety, and quality measures. Ability to effectively communicate verbally. Ability to work any shift. Be able to lift 10 pounds consistently and occasionally lift 50 pounds. Routinely walk, stand, bend, stoop, and twist. Proficiency in CNC programming and operation Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Knowledge of machining processes and materials Familiarity with CAD/CAM software Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills HAAS Experience Experience with Autodesk (Preferred) Wire Edm experience (Preferred) Technical certification or associate degree in machining, manufacturing technology, or related field (preferred)Similar remote jobs
