DESCRIPTION
The Tool & Die Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting, and improving tooling, dies, fixtures.. This role ensures tooling and equipment operate safely, efficiently, and within quality standards while minimizing downtime. The selected candidate will be responsible for: Repair, maintain, and troubleshoot tooling, dies, jigs, fixtures, and machine shop equipment. Perform preventive maintenance on tooling and machine shop equipment. Diagnose mechanical issues and determine corrective actions as related to machine shop tools and equipment. Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble dies and tooling components. Operate manual machines such as mills, grinders, lathes, and drill presses. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and models. Design and fabricate new tools, dies, molds, jigs, and fixtures as needed for production support. Fabricate or modify tooling components as needed. Use precision measuring tools to verify final dimensions are within acceptable tolerances. Assist with die setups, adjustments, and changeovers. Monitor tooling performance and recommend improvements to reduce downtime and scrap. Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and company policies. Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality departments to resolve tooling issues. Maintain clean and organized work areas. The selected candidate will also possess: Welding and fabrication is a plus. Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Salary Range:
$38.00
