Performing diagnostic quality imaging procedures for our inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department population allows for participation as a member of an energetic team that proactively supports delivery of safe patient care and services. This department is tailored for those who are interested in utilizing technology to aid in caring for children in need of radiologic services.
Job Summary:
The Medical Imaging Specialist (MIS) is an unlicensed multi-skilled worker who supports patient care by performing specific technical tasks and support functions as delegated by a licensed provider. The care provided by the MIS is supervised by a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer. Working within a team environment and can manage multiple priorities in a timely manner are required skills.
Qualifications:
Education High School Diploma/G.E.D. (required) Program Graduate of a patient care program (CNA, MA, or EMT) (preferred) Licenses and Certifications BLS
  • Basic Life Support
  • AHA•American Heart Association within 30 days of hire or transfer into position (required) MA•Medical Assistant (preferred) Other•Other CNA•Certified Nursing Assistant (preferred) Other•Other EMT•Emergency Medical Technician (preferred) Work Experience Minimum six (6) months Pediatric experience (preferred) Skills and Abilities Work within a team environment and have the ability to manage multiple priorities in a timely manner are required skills.
