Redwood Machine Works is a full-service manufacturing company specializing in metal fabrication, precision machining and abrasive waterjet cutting. As a Shop Apprentice you will have the opportunity to gain on the job training to manufacture parts for welding and machining personal using industrial machinery. Your dedication will result in supplying accurate components that will be made into finished assemblies.
Responsibilities :
  • Always maintain a safe and clean work area.
  • Interpret and follow written work instructions and drawings with minimal supervision.
  • Safely operate production machinery to include bandsaws, waterjets, drill presses, grinders, sand blasters, portable hand tools, forklift, and others as needed.
  • Competently use basic measuring tool accurately (tape measures, square, etc.)
  • Work individually or as a team with other personnel to meet schedules and achieve production goals
  • Ensure machines and equipment are kept clean and in good working condition and perform maintenance as needed
  • Produce high quality accurate parts that conform to drawing dimensions.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Positive attitude, organized, and self-motivated
  • Desire to learn a craft and develop skills
  • Routinely contribute to the continual improvement of the organization.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs, stand for long periods, and climb a ladder.

Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
