About the Role We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Professional to set up and operate CNC machines, ensuring the precise cutting of metallic materials. In this role, you will interpret technical drawings and use your expertise to maintain part quality through careful adjustments and tool management. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to meet high-quality standards and optimize production processes. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC lathes to cut metallic materials according to specifications. Interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications to ensure accurate production. Conduct tool changes, offsets, and adjustments to maintain optimal part quality and tight tolerances. Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges to inspect parts. Contribute to process optimization by recommending improvements to enhance efficiency and quality. Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and procedures. Perform basic deburring and rework on work-in-process to meet quality standards. Manage tool life effectively to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. Qualifications Required Skills 3+ years of experience operating CNC lathes. Proficiency in using basic shop arithmetic. Experience with G-code programming. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Understanding of general safety and quality systems in a manufacturing environment. Preferred Skills Experience working with aerospace materials such as Inconel, titanium, and stainless steel. Familiarity with 3-axis machine setup. Experience with tool life management practices. Ability to interpret technical documents, including blueprints, shop drawings, and engineering specifications. Experience in the aerospace industry.
