Eyelet Toolmaker

Braxton Manufacturing has been in business for 60 years specializing in deep drawn metal stamping. We have one opening for a qualified individual who seeks a career in manufacturing. A candidate with a good mechanical aptitude and previous experience in Eyelet toolmaking in addition to intermediate math skills (algebra, geometry), knowledge of machine theory, operation of basic toolroom and inspection equipment, the ability to make tools and components, fixtures from instructions using conventional machinery such as lathes, mills and grinders.

Responsibilities:

Set up machines to Braxton specifications. Maintain production on machines that are running. Communicate any problems with the machines to their supervisor. Maintain layouts and job information sheets. Maintain a neat and tidy work environment at all times. Maintain a safe workplace and report all unsafe conditions to the safety committee or supervisor. Train and cross train with other toolmakers and apprentices. Have a good understanding of metal drawing process. Understand the difference between pinching or thinning metal as opposed to stretching material. Basic blueprint reading. Extensive knowledge in measurement techniques. Good math skills, basic trigonometry. And all other duties as assigned by Management.

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required; apprenticeship, or certification in toolmaking or machining preferred but not required Minimum 5 years eyelet tool making in the deep draw field. Qualifications Required

Hours Mon - Thurs 6:00am - 4:00pm
