This is a 180-day, hands-on training program designed to develop foundational and intermediate skills in die making within a production environment. Participants will work alongside experienced professionals to learn the processes, tools, and standards required to succeed in the industry. This program is structured as a training experience. Participants remain on active duty and continue to receive pay and benefits from the Department of Defense during the program. Why This Opportunity Matters This program is designed to bridge military experience into civilian skilled trades careers. You will gain real, hands-on experience in a high-demand industry while building a foundation for long-term career growth. What You Will Learn During this program, participants will receive hands-on training in: Reading and interpreting CAD drawings and job specifications Measuring, cutting, bending, and installing steel rule Assembling dies, strippers, and related tooling Using hand tools and specialized equipment safely Performing quality checks and inspections Understanding production workflows and manufacturing processes Identifying defects and supporting troubleshooting efforts Training Structure This program follows a structured 180-day progression including: Safety training and shop fundamentals Die making fundamentals and material handling Assembly and tooling techniques Intermediate die builds and repair work Quality control and defect identification Advanced exposure to production processes Final evaluation through supervised die builds Participants will gradually move from observation to hands-on contribution with increasing levels of independence. What We Are Looking For We are seeking individuals who: Have a strong interest in hands-on, mechanical work Demonstrate attention to detail and willingness to learn Are comfortable working in a production or manufacturing environment Possess problem-solving ability and a strong work ethic Can follow safety procedures and work as part of a team
