Job Description

Overview We are seeking a Mold Repair and Polishing Technician to join our manufacturing team. This role involves maintaining, repairing, and polishing molds to ensure optimal performance and longevity. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, technical proficiency and capable of using hand tools. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-quality production processes in a fast paced environment. Duties Inspect molds regularly for wear, damage, or defects and determine necessary repairs Perform precise mold repairs using appropriate tools and techniques Polish molds to achieve smooth surfaces and optimal finish quality Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance activities, and inspections Collaborate with production teams to schedule repairs with minimal disruption Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies Assist in the setup and calibration of molds for manufacturing processes Skills Experience with hand tools... die grinders, hand files etc. Proficiency with measurement tools i.e. micrometers and dial calipers Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity for precision work Ability to interpret technical drawings and repair instructions Good problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot mold issues effectively Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment This position is essential for maintaining the quality standards of our products and ensuring efficient manufacturing operations.
