Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cerakote Applicator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the professional preparation, application, and curing of Cerakote coatings on firearms, components, and other equipment. The ideal candidate possesses a strong work ethic, exceptional hand-eye coordination, and a deep understanding of coating mechanics and firearm safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble firearms and various mechanical components. Prepare surfaces for coating through degreasing, masking, and sandblasting according to exact specifications. Mix, match, and apply Cerakote coatings precisely using professional spray equipment. Monitor and operate curing ovens to ensure proper bonding and finish durability. Conduct thorough quality control inspections to identify and correct runs, thin spots, or debris. Maintain, clean, and troubleshoot spray guns, booths, ovens, and sandblasting equipment. Follow all shop safety protocols, including the proper handling and disposal of chemicals and hazardous materials.
Qualifications and Skills:
Minimum of 2 years of professional Cerakote application experience required. Factory Cerakote Certification is strictly required (must provide proof of certification). Gunsmithing experience is highly preferred. Deep knowledge of firearm platforms, mechanics, and safe handling practices. Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality craftsmanship. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while meeting tight deadlines. Strong troubleshooting skills for both application issues and equipment maintenance.
