Hours are Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Overtime is worked on Friday as needed. Establishes, adheres, and monitors reorder points for tooling and fixtures kept within the designated tool crib area. Assures items and materials are restocked at appropriate times, obtains quotes for new tooling requirements, and receives newly arrived items for department use. Maintains tool crib business activities by initiating appropriate forms and reports; physical security, orderliness, and appearance of the tool crib; procurement of inventory; including tracking of item and material usage. Maintains timely two-way vendor communication on related goods. Occasionally assists the production team by operating CNC equipment to handle surge capacity needs.
DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES
Establishes, adheres and monitors reorder points for inventoried items and materials kept within the department's tool crib. Places requisitions for items and materials at appropriate points based upon historical analysis of usage and forward planning based upon scheduled activities. Ensures an in-stock condition of all routine usage items and materials thru reorder points. Sets up tooling for upcoming Jobs and break down and put away tooling from completed Jobs. Obtains quotes for new tooling requirements in support of Engineering, Programming, and/or Purchasing agent as needed. Accepts tooling deliveries from Shipping/Receiving personnel, audits and enters items and materials into tool crib inventory. Responsible for physical security, orderliness, and appearance of tool crib. Locates and periodically inventories assets of tool crib for easy identification and audit. Maintains timely two-way communication with vendors, relaying appropriate information internally as required. Operates powered equipment in compliance with all safety and company procedures Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with handling raw materials, supplies, and finished goods inventory Proven ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Accuracy and efficiency when completing data entry tasks. Demonstrate ability to balance conflicting priorities to manage workflow, ensure the completion of essential projects, and meet critical deadlines. Basic math skills Must be able to handle (bend, stoop, lift and move) objects up to 50lbs routinely Stand or walk continuously for 10 hours Experience with forklifts, pallet jacks, and other handling equipment Must be well organized and maintain a clean, safe working environment. Proficient knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Excel specifically). Must have a valid driver's license
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED WORK HOURS
This is a full-time position with a typical work schedule of Monday through Thursday, 6:00a.m. to 4:30p.m., with overtime being worked on Fridays as needed. There may be times where there is an expectation to work extended hours as dictated by business needs.
