Job Description

Marion Die & Fixture, located in Marion, KS, is a division of The Bradbury Group, a family-owned organization leading the industry in producing quality roll forming solutions. Join our team! SUMMARY Analyze specifications, set up and operate machine tools to manufacture parts, fit and assemble parts to fabricate and/or repair various types of dies. HOURS 6:00 am - 2:30 pm
M-F ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Study prints, sketches, models, job orders and visualizes product to determine materials required and machines to be used to fabricate parts. Computes dimensions, plans layout and determines assembly method and sequence of operations. Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, bridgeports, etc. to machine parts and verify conformance of machined parts to specifications. Assemble parts into product and verify dimensions, alignments and clearances. Perform other duties as assigned.
SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED/PREFERRED
Able to use and understand all required tools and precision measuring instruments. Understanding of basic math concepts. Ability to read and understand prints, bills of material, setup sheets, etc., and follow oral and written instructions. Manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Organization and planning skills. Ability to work well with others.
EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIRED/PREFERRED
Prefer successful completion of related course work at a trade or technical school
OTHER REQUIREMENTS/PREFERENCES
Strong manufacturing experience. Observes safety and security procedures by using equipment and materials properly. Is consistently at work and on time, ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent. Follows instructions, responds to management direction. Takes responsibility for own actions. Commits to extra hours of work when necessary to reach goals. Completes tasks on time.
