Analyst Tool & Die Position Description:
Review and Approve Die Design of Stamping Dies for all internal production tooling within Engage with Construction Source and Die Process Engineer to ensure Die Design captures Lessons Learned and meets
Standards Skills Required:

Mechanics Experience Required:
High School Diploma with 5 years of die design experience or die design leader or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Extensive knowledge CAD with Mechanical Aptitude Basic to Advanced knowledge of die construction and machining practices Understanding of die materials and treatment processes per application Knowledgeable of Data PLM Software for CAD systems Knowledge in Catia V5 / NX assemblies and parametrizations Understanding of Microsoft 365 and OneDrive Self-starter with abilities to manage multiple items and prioritize accordingly based on promise dates and urgency Reverse engineer solutions to process or die design concerns/issues
Education Required:
High School Diploma /
GED, Bachelor's Degree Additional Information :
Responsibilities
  • Reviewing and approving Die Designs to ensure they meet WDX standards, die safety requirements, WDX materials/standard components, automation clearances and press requirements.
  • Manage/Lead Die Design Vendor at start of new die set, updating designs for engineering/process changes and supporting die construction and production plant requirements.
  • Work with Die Vendor and Die Process/Automation teams to collaborate on a solution that will work for all parties and give most robust solution.
  • Feedback and incorporate Lessons Learned from previous launch captured issues.
  • Provide feedback and drive for best in class die standards to help develop/improve our Die Vendors and Construction Source success.
  • Lead and guide Virtual Pattern Reviews and give direction accordingly.
  • Manage multiple die designs to help Die Vendors meet our standards and meet their aggressive timing.
  • Organize and lead plant die design reviews for all new dies with appropriate stamping plants.
  • Work with construction sources to eliminate or improve die construction issues up-front or when reviewing/approving.
