You will build, repair, and troubleshoot tools, dies, and fixtures using standard tool room equipment, working from blueprints and verbal instructions to meet tight specifications and quality standards Key Responsibilities Plan and fabricate dies, molds, tools, and fixtures from sketches, blueprints, specs, and models Set up and operate machine tools ; assemble, finish, and adjust parts and fixtures Verify part dimensions using dial indicators, gauge blocks, calipers, and micrometers Diagnose and repair issues on manually operated and progressive dies, molds, and tools Design templates and jigs to aid fabrication Select appropriate metals and materials and run tests, adjusting tools as needed Partner with internal teams and suppliers to resolve production and quality issues Requirements High school diploma or GED 3 + years of tool and die making experience Ability to stand for full shifts and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly Strong visual accuracy and attention to detail Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently Solid basic math skills (whole numbers, fractions, decimals)
