Tool Die Maker- 2nd shift

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for learning tool and die trade, including the operation of lathes, CNC machines, milling machines, grinders, heat treating furnaces, etc. Assists in the fabrication of tools and dies. Works in production departments to replace or repair machinery. Duties Is capable of receiving and interpreting verbal instructions, drawings, and blueprints. Uses precision hand tools and measuring equipment. Learns how to set up and operate tool room machines. Includes lathes, milling machines, drill press, band saw, CNC machines, and grinders. Learns to handle and use machinist's hand tools and precision measuring devices. Operates heat treating furnaces. Fabricates new or replacement parts for dies or machines. Supports other tool makers as required. Produces prototype parts as required. Learns fabrication and troubleshooting of all production machines and stamping dies. Completes paperwork as required including job cards, inspection reports, logs, etc. Is responsible for quality and safety of own work and compliance of all company procedures and policies. Experience High school education Proven experience as a Tool Die Maker or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment. Strong proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD for designing tooling components. Hands-on experience with CNC programming, machining (CNC milling machine and CNC lathe), and electrical discharge machining (EDM).

Pay:

$29.63 - $39.53 per hour
