Job Requirements and Properties Work Onsite Full Time Schedule Full Time Job Description . Cottage Hospital is seeking a Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) to join our Ray of Hope unit. This is not a typical licensed nursing assistant position. Working on our 10-bed geropsychiatric unit, you will be part of a specialized, interdisciplinary team dedicated to some of the most complex and rewarding work in behavioral health: patients living with dementia whose behavior and mood have become unsafe or unmanageable at home, individuals experiencing depression or anxiety compounded by the losses that come with aging, and those whose long-standing psychiatric conditions require short-term specialized inpatient care. These are patients who are often misunderstood in general medical settings, but who respond profoundly to caregivers who take the time to see them fully—to recognize the person behind the confusion, the grief behind the agitation, and the need for dignity behind every difficult moment. Every shift brings meaningful one-on-one time with patients where your careful observations of behavior and mental status contribute to the clinical team's decisions about medications and other therapeutic interventions that help patients stabilize and return to their lives. If you are someone who leads with patience and curiosity, who finds purpose in understanding the person behind the diagnosis, and who wants to grow in a field where compassionate, attentive care changes lives, then this role was built for you. Per diem openings require a 2 shift per month commitment.
