SUMMARY:
As a CNC Centerless Grinder Technician at Wytech Industries, you'll be responsible for programming, setting up, adjusting, and operating high precision centerless and OD grinding machines to produce highly precise components used in life-saving medical devices. 2.
REPORTS TO
Grinding Mechanic Supervisor 3.
HOURS:
Monday-Friday 7:00AM
  • 3:00PM or 3:00PM
  • 11:00PM or 11:00PM
  • 7:00AM.
Includes a 10 min break & 20 min lunch. Must be ready at workstation at the start of the shift. Overtime Weekdays, Saturday & Sundays as needed 4.

QUALIFICATIONS
6.1. High School Diploma required. 6.2. Experience in centerless grinding or CNC precision machining, preferably in medical device or regulated manufacturing. 6.3. Strong mechanical and mathematical aptitude with ability to read technical drawings. 6.4. Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), documentation protocols, and quality inspection tools. 6.5. Commitment to cleanliness, organization, and preventative maintenance. 6.6. Team player with excellent problem-solving skills. 6.7. Safety-focused, dependable, and detail-oriented. 7.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
8.1. Program, set up, and operate centerless grinders (in-feed and thru-feed) and OD grinders to meet tight medical device tolerances. 8.2. Read and interpret complex part drawings, ensuring parts conform to engineering and customer specifications. 8.3. Perform precise setups, tooling changes, and adjustments to achieve quoted cycle times. 8.4. Rigorously follow documentation protocols — recording setups, measurements, and production results per medical device regulatory requirements. 8.5. Conduct inspections using a range of metrology methods (contact and non-contact) to verify surface finish, straightness, concentricity, and other critical dimensions. 8.6. Maintain strict cleanliness and housekeeping standards to comply with medical manufacturing quality systems. 8.7. Develop and maintain process capabilities, tooling, and gauging solutions for complex geometries. 8.8. Troubleshoot machine issues, perform preventative maintenance, and coordinate with equipment/tooling providers when needed. 8.9. Troubleshoot parts during set-up and run cycles to ensure cycle times quoted are met. 8.10. Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to support continuous improvement and resolve production challenges. 8.11. Uphold all safety and regulatory requirements while contributing to a culture of operational excellence. 8.12. Ensure daily output is met and machines are adhering to production schedule at expected quality levels. 8.13. Assists with special projects as required. 8.14. Performs other related duties as assigned by the manager. 9.

9.1. Continually required to stand and walk. 9.2. Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity. 9.3. Frequently required to bend and kneel to use machines and get equipment. 9.4. Continually required to utilize visual acuity to operate equipment. 9.5. Continually required to work near moving mechanical parts. 9.6. Continually exposed to loud noise. 9.7. Required to wear safety glasses, pants that cover down to the ankle, and closed-toe shoes.
