This is a direct hire opportunity offering long-term stability, competitive pay, and the chance to work with advanced tooling systems including stamping and progressive dies . Key Responsibilities Set up and operate manual and CNC machines including lathes, mills, and grinders Build, repair, and modify dies, jigs, fixtures, and tooling components Work with stamping and progressive dies , including die cutting and forming Inspect finished parts using precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical drawings Assemble tooling components including die plates, die sets, retainers, gas springs, and guide pins Perform grinding, polishing, and finishing operations to meet specifications Conduct test runs and troubleshoot tooling issues to ensure performance and quality Design and fabricate jigs, fixtures, and templates Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment Train and support apprentices as needed Required Qualifications Journeyman certification with 2-3 years of experience OR 10+ years of experience as a Tool & Die Maker or Machinist Strong experience with tooling, stamping, and progressive dies Hands-on experience with manual machining and fabrication of parts Proficiency in lathe and grinding operations Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications Experience with die components including shoes, heel blocks, bushings, retainers, and clamping systems Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with tool and die steel fabrication Experience machining blocks and custom parts from scratch Familiarity with heat treating processes and furnace operations Experience using computerized maintenance systems
Compensation & Benefits Pay Range:
$30/hr. to $34.25/hr. (based on experience) Direct hire opportunity with long-term stability Overtime opportunities may be available Full benefits package offered Schedule 2nd
