Job Description
Turner (Canada) We are currently seeking a skilled Turner to join our team in Las Vegas, Canada. As a Turner, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various machining tools to shape and cut metal parts according to specifications. This is a part-time position that does not require prior experience, making it ideal for those looking to gain experience in the field. Accommodation is not provided, but we do offer visa sponsorship for qualified candidates.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and adjust machines and equipment for production runs
- Read blueprints and drawings to determine job specifications
- Measure and mark dimensions on metal stock using precision measuring instruments
- Operate various machining tools such as lathes, grinders, drills, and mills
- Inspect finished products for quality control and make adjustments as needed
- Maintain machinery by performing routine maintenance tasks
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of experience as a Turner or similar role
- Strong knowledge of machining tools and techniques
- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints
- Good math skills and attention to detail
- Physical strength and stamina to operate machinery for extended periods of time This is an urgent position that requires reliable candidates who are able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
