Full Job Description Salary Range:

$32.00 - $38.00 per hour Sotek, Inc. is a manufacturer of components and assemblies used in large electrical motors and generators. Job Summary As a tool and die maker with us, you will be responsible for building and maintaining production tools, including stamping die, fixtures, assemble tooling and gages, use blueprints to determine project specifications, set-up and operate machine tools, finish and adjust parts, and test tools to ensure quality standards are met. This position is excellent for anyone with exceptional technical expertise and a positive, team-oriented attitude looking to work for a company where they can grow and hone their skills. Primary Responsibilities Ability to build, troubleshoot, and repair large stamping dies Work with compound and progressive dies Have active involvement and input in planning and designing dies, and fixtures Verify dimensions of finished parts to ensure they conform to specifications using dial indicators, gauge blocks, calipers and micrometers Utilize hand and machine tools, both CNC and Manual, to assemble parts of tools and dies and also repair and modify gauges, jigs and dies Diagnose and troubleshoot problems and perform repairs on tools, manually operated dies and progressive dies Interface with internal customers and work with team members to solve problems during the production process Qualifications Completed a formal Tool & Die Apprenticeship 5+ years experience with stamping dies Must be an ambitious person willing to learn and grow within our organization Highly motivated team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic High degree of ownership and willingness to learn High level of problem solving ability
