HBOT Technician is responsible for ensuring patients are receiving treatment using a hyperbaric oxygen therapy machine. As a HBOT technician, your duties include scheduling patients for HBOT machine usages and noting treatments in their medical charts. Responsibilities- Receive referral for HBOT or review progress sheets for referrals from drive
- Ensure referral is completed properly/ rescan if necessary
- Contact patient and schedule HBOT evaluation to see if patient is a candidate for treatment
- If candidate, explain HBOT treatment in detail and advise patient of any changes that could affect treatment
- Make sure patients sign evaluation form, file and scan accordingly
- Monitor patients and control the pressure inside a hyperbaric chamber
- After each treatment ensure chamber is clean and pillow cases are changed
- Deep clean chamber weekly
- Manage and update HBOT spreadsheet- ALL referrals go onto spreadsheet. (Active/ No HBOT)
- Keep track of supplies-wipes, towels, air freshener, pillow cases, table paper, mattress cover
