This role is critical to ensuring production quality, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement on the shop floor. Key Responsibilities Perform scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs on stamping dies Operate toolroom equipment such as lathes, mills, and grinders to fabricate and repair components Diagnose tooling issues in production and implement corrective solutions Inspect dimensions, alignment, and tolerances using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators) Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD/CAM files Use welding and hand tools for die assembly, repair, and modification Maintain accurate records of repairs, modifications, and maintenance activities Ensure work areas meet cleanliness and organization standards Accurately document ERP data including maintenance logs, part orders, and labor time What You Bring Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills High level of metalworking and machining expertise Solid math skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement

Qualifications Required:

High school diploma or GED Minimum of 5 years of tool and die repair experience

Preferred:

Journeyperson apprenticeship in a stamping environment Extensive experience in tool and die repair within metal stamping operations Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods (up to a full shift) Ability to lift and handle components up to 50 lbs Capability to safely load and operate machinery such as grinders, mills, and lathes Strong visual acuity (near vision of 20/30 or better, corrected or uncorrected) Ability to distinguish colors for inspection purposes

Additional Information Travel:
