Job Description

Company Description:

Toolmaker
Responsibilities:
Produce tooling and fixtures, from raw materials, per print specification. Understand and use CNC lathes, CNC mills, drill presses, surface grinders, cut off and band saws and all equipment available to them. Properly inspect parts. Work with Tool Room leadership on relaying information about the status and completion of jobs and improvements for the department. Manage small to medium fixture build and automation projects. Occasionally attend educational seminars on new and existing tool making process. Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas (5S). Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications:
This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent Must be able to read blueprints and have inspection knowledge of how to properly inspect parts. Previous or current toolmaking experience. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair tooling. Manufacture and assemble tooling to print specifications. Fluent in the use of computers. Interpersonal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
CAM & CAD
software experience preferred. Precision machining experience preferred. Hydraulic and pneumatic experience preferred.
