Job Description

JOB TITLE
Tool Room Machinist (Manual / CNC)
REPORTS TO
Tool and Die Manager Position Summary This is a Tool Room Machinist position focused on building and maintaining custom vinyl extrusion tooling and all other related tooling for the facility. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a small group environment, multitasking, and working independently as needed. Key Responsibilities Prepare raw stock to be machined Machine a variety of parts based on prints and specifications Repair and revise tooling as needed Clean and maintain equipment Assist with assembly and disassembly of tooling Order replacement parts and supplies for the machine shop Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications and Skills Knowledge and experience with manual and conversational vertical milling machines, manual lathe, saws, and other machining equipment (Prototrak Edge controller experience a plus) Ability to read and interpret blueprints Strong measuring skills using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision tools Ability to lift up to 60 lbs Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
