Full-Time About Us Action Manufacturing Company is a leading defense contractor specializing in ordnance and fuze systems since 1946. We support U.S. military and allied partners with high-volume mechanical, electro-mechanical, and pyrotechnic products. With approximately 300 employees and growing, we operate advanced manufacturing facilities in Pennsylvania and are expanding into Maryland with a new R&D and prototyping center. Job Summary Plan/ perform diverse and difficult machining operations to produce components for tools, dies, fixtures, jigs, gages, etc. of complex and intricate design. To repair or fabricate Tools, Dies, Fixtures, Gages or sample parts to Blueprint or Specifications. Must be able to operate machines such as Lathes, Milling Machines, Band Saws, Grinders, etc. Operate precision measuring tools. Work from Blueprints, Sample Parts and sketches. Assist with the set-up of machines. Knowledge of metal characteristics and properties including heat-treating. Knowledge of Geometric Tolerance. Organize operational procedures by selecting tooling, work holding methods, spindle speeds, tooling feed rates and machine attachments. Improvise tooling and machine set-ups for special adaptations and unusual operations. Knowledge of machining methods and techniques. Vocational training, Toolmaker or Die, Machine Maintenance, Apprenticeship or equivalent training, plus five (5) years (or more) applied experience in diversified Machining environment. Experience with CAM programming and CNC milling and/or turning not required but preferred Good communication skills. Must be able to understand and perform the job function as stated in the job description.
Education Requirements:
