Life Insurance Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Powder Coat Painter to manage booth operations and ensure high-quality finishes. You will handle manual spraying, manage automatic lines, optimize color changes, and maintain precise inventory. This role requires technical expertise, a strong eye for detail, and the leadership ability to step in for the Team Lead when necessary.
Responsibilities:
Apply powder using manual hopper guns and monitor automatic spray sides. Adjust spraying techniques to meet thickness (mil profile) and appearance standards. Identify different substrates and adapt application methods based on powder characteristics. Maintain overall finish quality and prevent surface defects. Take full operational control of the spray booth when the Team Lead is absent. Collaborate with the supervisor to adjust line speed and rack density for optimal coverage. Troubleshoot finish issues immediately and propose actionable quality solutions. Partner with the Team Lead to build and execute streamlined color change procedures. Track color change cycle times continuously to eliminate waste and speed up transitions. Conduct regular counts to guarantee raw powder stock accuracy. Clean the spray booth, guns, and surrounding workspaces daily to prevent cross-contamination. Perform all assigned tasks and auxiliary shop duties with speed and professionalism.

Pulling Hot Environments Cold Environments Skills:
Proven experience with powder coat gun operations and automated lines. Strong understanding of millage gauges, film thickness, and powder properties. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and lead a small team during absences. Sharp communication skills to coordinate with leads regarding line adjustments.
