Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Toolmaker to design, build, and maintain precision tools, dies, and fixtures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in toolmaking, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and build precision tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures based on engineering drawings and specifications. Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and wire EDM equipment to cut, bore, grind, and shape parts to precise dimensions. Inspect and test completed tools and dies to ensure they meet specifications and tolerances. Maintain and repair tools and dies as needed to ensure production quality and efficiency. Collaborate with engineers and production staff to troubleshoot and resolve tooling issues. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Toolmaker in a manufacturing environment. Minimum of 3 years of experience with Wire EDM machine operation and programming Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications. Strong mechanical aptitude and precision machining skills. Experience with CNC programming and operation. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong math skills, including geometry and trigonometry. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

Apprenticeship or formal training in toolmaking or precision machining. Experience with CAD/CAM software. Familiarity with Sodick wire EDM machines
