Job Description

About the Role We are seeking a Precision Tooling Specialist to join our manufacturing team. You will play a critical role in ensuring production excellence by designing, maintaining, and modifying complex tooling systems while operating advanced machining equipment to meet rigorous quality standards. Responsibilities Analyze and troubleshoot machinery and tooling processes to optimize production efficiency and maintain high-quality outputs. Interpret complex technical blueprints and schematics in both English and metric units to ensure precise tool fabrication. Execute high-precision machining tasks including milling, lathe turning, jig boring, and grinding to meet tight tolerance requirements. Perform comprehensive inspections using micrometers, calipers, and thread gauges to verify component accuracy. Collaborate with engineering teams to validate tooling designs and implement necessary modifications for process improvement. Maintain a safe and organized workspace, adhering to all operational protocols while handling materials up to 50 lbs. Qualifications Required Skills High School Diploma or GED equivalent. 10+ years of professional experience in tool and die making or precision machining. Expertise in operating manual and CNC equipment, including lathes, mills, surface grinders, and horizontal/vertical machining centers. Demonstrated proficiency in reading 2D drawings and complex blueprints. Advanced shop math skills and extensive experience with precision measurement tools. Preferred Skills Hands-on experience with multi-axis CNC programming and operation (e.g., Mazak, Haas). Specialized knowledge in ID grinding and complex jig boring techniques. Proven track record of maintaining high-volume production tooling with minimal downtime.
