Comprehensive benefits package provided Summary of Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC equipment while ensuring production efficiency, product quality, and accurate documentation. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Evaluate part design for compatibility with machine capabilities (e.g., outer diameter, length). Assess suitability of raw material (stock) for production runs. Verify proper tooling and setup requirements prior to operation. Select existing programs or write new CNC programs as needed. Load programs and input tool parameters into the machine console. Mount tools in tool holders and install required tooling and fixtures. Perform dry runs and make necessary adjustments to tooling and reference settings. Set machine modes (auto/manual/single) and optimize feed rates and spindle speeds. Conduct test runs to evaluate tool wear, machining performance, and part quality. Inspect finished parts for dimensional accuracy and surface quality per blueprints. Troubleshoot and debug programs as needed during setup and operation. Calculate cycle times and optimize production efficiency. Determine optimal sequence of operations based on part specifications and machine capabilities. Train and support machine operators on proper procedures, productivity, and quality standards. Perform quality audits, including dimensional checks and use of measuring tools. Conduct routine maintenance, lubrication, and basic diagnostic checks on CNC equipment. Perform other related duties as assigned. Education, Experience, and Skills Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training preferred. 1-3 years of CNC machining or related experience. Proficiency in CNC programming, including feeds, speeds, and axis control (X, Y, Z). Strong understanding of CNC machine capabilities and application to part production. Knowledge of tooling selection and compatibility with various materials. Ability to select and request appropriate tool holding devices and fixtures.
