Job Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITIONS
Able to operate a variety of machine tools (i.e. Tig/Mig /Arc Welders, lathes, milling machines, etc.) Verify conformance of machines or repaired dies to specifications by checking dimensions, clearances, and alignments. Troubleshoot for problems during production. Able to set up appropriate tools in the department. Follow safe work practices and company work procedures at all times. Assure work performed complies with QS9000 standards. Maintain tooling Quality STD's and Preventative/ Predictive Maintenance program to ensure compliance with QS9000 Requirements. Able to work overtime as required. Perform other duties as required.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION
Associate's degree or equivalent from two years college or technical school or 5 years related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Completion of a 4-year Tool & Die apprenticeship program.
WORK EXPERIENCE / TECHNICAL TRAINING
Tool and Die Maker with related experience/familiar with assembly tooling work. Good hand dexterity, mechanical skills, mathematical skills and organizational skills. Must have a minimum of 7 years' experience with assembly tooling with minimum 5 years of specializing with new assembly tool construction and robot tooling. Hemming die or clinch tool experience is a must. Metrology experience is required including exposure to and using master-buck tooling.
